We were only going to do 4, but around our turnaround point another dog attacked Cooper so we decided to run a little farther to create some distance between us. On the way back when we passed them they held their dog this time but they should just put it on a leash.

Yes, it's an off leash day, but if your dog is vicious it needs to stay leashed!!!
Fri, 21 Jun 2019 06:00:00 Wed, Jun 19, 2019 http://CoopersMama.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-19-2019.html
Easy 3 out and back on 10thE. Would've gone more but plantar and shin were killing me.
Wed, 19 Jun 2019 06:00:00 Tue, Jun 18, 2019 http://CoopersMama.fastrunningblog.com/blog-06-18-2019.html
I've spent the last few months going to the gym every day and working on my overall strength, especially legs. I've been doing some runs on the treadmill here and there but my ankle/shin/plantar all that mess would start hurting 2-3 miles in. Today I finally bought some better shoes and went for an outdoor run! I took Cooper up the paved trail by my house that goes to the Sandy Ampitheater, down 94th, and over to Big Bear so I could let Cooper off his leash for a lap. Did a lap there and around the elementary school field then ran back down 94th/90th to home. Cooper kept trying to lay down on that last mile and even found a nice puddle of standing water (naaaaasty) to lay in. My shin also started to hurt that last half mile so I think tomorrow I'll either bike or swim.

Also looking for ideas on where to take Cooper running off his leash. Millcreek canyon is nice for odd numbered days, but I want more places near Sandy.
Tue, 18 Jun 2019 06:00:00
